Saari Mitchell attends a Tueri conference in Las Vegas, Nevada to strengthen her bonds with Dhelis Guidry and Brogan Vincent-and see if they can make their three-sided relationship work. But when Saari and her vampire brother Mag's lives are threatened, her trip to paradise soon becomes a surreal fight for survival. Dhelis and Brogan's psychic abilities are no help in finding Saari. Desperate to save their mate, they call in favors from the psychic and preternatural community, but the information leads only to more questions. Is the threat against Saari personal or part of a larger plan that threatens every human and Tueri's existence?

I'm obsessed with the written word. It all started with those little 45 rpm records that read the story while you followed along with a book. You know the ones I'm talking about, right? Well, let's just say kindergarten was a breeze. I kept practicing, and at age nine read my mother's copy of Jaws (which might explain my fear of the ocean...well, of what's in it!). So it's not surprising all that reading led to a writing career as a paranormal romance and urban fantasy author. I love creating intriguing stories filled with non-stop action, nail-biting conflict and scintillating attraction between the people that live in my head.

P.S. I'm an avid reader/collector of books. My to-read shelf is comprised of books I own!

 My Review

 4/5 Roses

As with the first book in this story, Moonlight Blue, this plot is highly intriguing.  Picking up right where Moonlight Bleu left off, this book is fast paced and full of adventure, with the mystery and danger kicked into full gear.  This suspenseful sequel continued following most of the main characters from the first book, as well as introducing a whole cast of new characters, filling the story with fresh excitement.
As the sequel to an adult fantasy romance novel, this book had many more adult scenes than the first.  The personal and romantic relationships between several characters were much more in-depth, showing us the layers of the growth the main characters went through. The thrilling adventure, mystery, and personal story with the three main characters, made this book a quick page-turner.

As with the first book, this story was very well written.  Renee Rearden did a fantastic job of creating a complex and entertaining story that moved quickly.  While I personally don't care for the adult nature of some of the scenes, this book was interesting enough to keep me reading past those areas, and still ended up a satisfying story.  Overall, I enjoyed this book, and the story itself, and would recommend it to any adult paranormal romance fan.

*I was given an ecopy of this book, from the author, to read in exchange for an honest review.
