Shameless Self Promotion!

Hiya peeps! I had a couple of open days this week, so I thought I'd fill one of them with some (very awkward) self promotion!

Becoming an author has been the best experience of my working life thus far. At the same time, it's also the most difficult job I could have picked for myself, as I hate talking about myself, or things I've done.

Do You Review?

Hiya peeps! I'm sharing a blog post from my author blog today, cuz more exposure and self-promotion and all that. Ah, indie author life. =P

Anyway, basically this is a request to reviewers. I don't currently have spare time to email awesome-sauce reviewers one-on-one, or even compile a mailing list. So, for the moment, I am compromising by posting some quick blog posts, instead of doing nothing.

I have helped indie authors promote their books for years, but you never really know how difficult it is until you become an indie author yourself! I've always held a lot of respect for indie peeps, but that's gone to a whole new level the past year and a half, that's for sure.

So, from this blogger-turned-indie-author, I'd love to connect with some reviewers! If you would be interested in reviewing any of my books, I would appreciate it greatly!!

The first book in my YA Adventure series is currently FREE on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords. If it sounds interesting, please consider picking up a copy and leaving a review once you've finished - I would appreciate it!

Second, and probably at this point, more importantly, is my stand-alone NA contemporary novel. It has no reviews!! I published it quickly in December, and haven't been able to promote it much, which is totally my fault, but yikes! I've had several people read it, but I'm not getting any reviews on it yet.

If you would like to review that one, I have it up on Instafreebie here, and it's also available on Kindle Unlimited. I would adore some reviews for that one, as I don't even know if it's any good yet! No one has told me anything! Gah! If it sounds interesting, please consider reading and reviewing it.

I'm hoping to get some better promotions going this Summer, but my family is currently in a transition that's taking far longer than it was supposed to, and I'm simply treading water trying to keep from drowning til that's finished.

If you wouldn't mind helping a girl out, I would appreciate it so much. It's difficult to ask for help, or put your stuff out there, so hopefully this didn't come off too pushy!

Also, if you have any suggestions on how to promote and publicize books as an indie author, I'm always on the look out for great ideas!

Cue happy dance!

I'm so excited that it's finally out, and to be honest, it's all still a bit surreal to me. I'm still processing the fact I published the first book at all. O.O 

(I take a while to process things lol)

At the moment, it's available for Kindle on Amazon. I'm planning to have it available in print copy by the end of the month, hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

We're getting ready to say goodbye to 2015, and welcome 2016 with a bang! I'm so excited for this next year, especially for the first couple of months. I'm going to be releasing my debut novel, Desi Pere! It's the first book of the Young Adult Paranormal adventure, Swirling Secrets.

Big Saturday Update!

Hiya everybody!

I hope you're doing well, and had a wonderful Thanksgiving, if you celebrated it.  At our house, we are celebrating it today, and I am soooo looking forward to having some turkey and cherry pie! =D

I wanted to share an update with you.  This is, as I've learned the past week, a bit overdue.  As some of you may know, and for those of you who don't, I've finally gotten one of my books ready for the world, and am in the final stages of editing - whoot!  I'm getting everything set to send it out to beta-readers in the next few weeks, and will hopefully have it published soon after that.

In the last week or so, I've been reading articles on publishing, what to do as a newbie author, and how to start off on the best foot possible.  Unknown to me, I'm already behind, haha!

I've gotten a bit done this past week, getting everything set up from the recommendations of those wiser than me, and am ready to update you all.

The biggest thing to note, is that I will be writing under a pen name...kind of.  Mainly, my author name will be "Roze" Wallin instead of "Rose" and the 'z' will only be with author stuff.  I don't like blending in with everyone else, and 'Rose' is such a common pen name.  The 'z' certainly adds some flare, doesn't it?  =)

Second, I've got a newsletter set up!  If you'd like to sign up, I'd be truly honored - it's still a surreal concept, having a newsletter at all.  I won't be sending out a lot of letters (I'm still figuring it all out, anyway), but will be including exclusives and special stuff for those who do sign up.  If you'd like to add yourself to my list and get updates about my book(s), sign up here!

Lastly, I've set up social profiles for my author name, Roze Wallin.  I'm going to keep the two (Roze vs Rose) separate, since I've got a ton of things going on with my normal accounts.  Between this blog, the Lifestyles business, and my hubby's business, my accounts are already verging on overloaded, which I certainly don't want.

So!  If you'd like to follow my author news, I will only be posting about that on my Roze profiles, to keep everything organized.  I've got a Facebook Profile, Facebook Page, Twitter, and Google+.
